Dr Jonathan Mutch MBBS MA BSc (Hons) MRCPCH

Dr Jonathan Mutch is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician specialising in ADHD, autism and complex neurodevelopmental presentations in children and young people. He practises privately here at The Giaroli Centre alongside his consultant post at the prestigious Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

He provides specialist neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnostic formulation for children with complex, high-masking or overlapping presentations of autism, ADHD and associated neurodevelopmental differences. His approach is structured, formulation-led and highly individualised, with a focus on diagnostic precision and clear clinical direction.

Dr Mutch trained across London and holds medical and academic qualifications from Norwich Medical School, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Warwick. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and has undertaken further development in healthcare leadership alongside advanced specialist training in neurodevelopmental paediatrics.

Dr Mutch collaborates in our centre’s multidisciplinary setting which delivers the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised) or 3Di (Developmental, Dimensional & Diagnostic Interview) as pioneered by the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, for diagnoses of autism.

His clinical focus includes autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences. He provides specialist assessment to support diagnostic clarity and structured formulation, including neurodevelopmental understanding relevant to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and broader SEND-related needs-based planning for children and adolescents.

He has contributed to neurodevelopmental pathway development and service improvement initiatives with a focus on improving access to timely, high-quality assessments within a structured diagnostic formulation framework to support comprehensive assessment and clinical decision-making.
