Karren Grossett
Independent Nurse Prescriber & Psychoeducation Groups Facilitator
Karren has been registered mental health nurse for over 20 years, with a wide and deep range of clinical (particularly in ADHD) and managerial experience within child, adolescents, adults and forensic settings.
Karren has been helping young people and families within the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) of the National Health Service (NHS) since 2010, and is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Non-Medical Prescriber. She has previously developed a crisis team responding to crisis mental health presentations in Accident & Emergency (A&E) Departments in 2018, and has since taken clinical and managerial roles within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the National Health Service (NHS).
Karren’s recent clinical experience and expertise as an ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) community in the National Health Service (NHS), and is the Assistant Director of Nursing in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
Karren is passionate about making sure that young people and their families feel empowered to be able to make informed choices about their care and treatment through her work in designing, managing and leading psychoeducational support groups for caregivers of young people with neurodevelopmental conditions (such as ADHD) and other comorbid psychiatric conditions.
Karren is registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) as both a Mental Health Registered Nurse and additionally as a Nurse Independent / Supplementary Prescriber.
