Dr Erik Oliver Schauman (Oliver) is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist offering highly specialised psychological assessments in collaboration with our team's medical doctors as part of our unique multi-disciplinary team (MDT) assessments. Dr Schauman also works within the National Health Service (NHS).
Dr Schauman received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) from Royal Holloway University of London. He has an MSc in Mental health population research, as well as postgraduate certificates in leadership and CBT supervision. He has extensive experience of working with children, young people and adults with ADHD, Autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Dr Schauman led the neurodevelopmental assessment pathway in South West London and St Georges NHS Trust for several years, specialising in evidence-based assessments for Autism using tools such as the ADOS-2, ADI-R and 3di. He currently works as the psychology and psychotherapy consultant lead for the CAMHS inpatient and acute services.
He aims to provide an understanding of the client, which both recognises the difficulties and informs how they can be best supported to reach their potential. Dr Schauman’s psychological assessment, combined with a psychiatric evaluation from our medical doctors provides a unique and multi-disciplinary team (MDT) assessment of a client's needs.
Dr Schauman works as an assessment specialist at The Giaroli Centre and as such he does not offer any ongoing psychological treatments or talking therapy at the Giaroli Centre. Please be advised that if you are intending to fund an assessment appointment with Dr Schauman that you will be required to self pay, however you are welcome to liaise with your insurer directly for any reimbursement you may be due, see our fees page here for further information.
